WHERE EXPERIENCE REALLY COUNTS...
There are as many different customs requirements and procedures as there are  countries - and they are constantly changing! MERIDIAN maintains an updated directory of these requirements and makes all of this information available to our clients. You may check the "country information" request form on our information and quote form on this web site or you can call our "toll free" number where this information is readily obtainable. Just ask for the summary of customs requirements for the country to which you plan to relocate.

HELP US HELP YOU...
Nearly all countries have specific regulations forbidding or restricting the import of liquor and firearms. Some countries insist on viewing the content of any video tapes and to include such tapes in your shipment could delay your goods at Customs. In addition, all hazardous materials such as aerosol cans, paints, oils, acids and other flammable or combustible items must be excluded from your shipment. If you have any questions consult the "customs requirements sheet" for the specific country AND contact their local Consulate in your area.

FOR SHIPMENTS COMING TO THE UNITED STATES:
You must complete a Department of the Treasury Customs Form 3299 entitled DECLARATION FOR FREE ENTRY QF UNACCOMPANIED ARTICLES, along with US Customs Form IIRC 159 (386) which is the SUPPLEMENTAL DECLARATION TO CF 3299 FOR UNACCOMPANIED AND HOUSEHOLD EFFECTS.
