After your International Moving Specialist has put
together a detailed inventory of your belongings and briefed
one of our specially trained packing crews, we will arrive
at your home at an agreed time to start packing. The packing
crews are supervised by a crew foreman who has overall
responsibility for the packing, loading, transportation and
unloading of your belongings.
Packing standards: The critical element
for a claim-free move is the export packing and loading of
your possessions. Our highly trained packing crews are among
the best, and use only the highest quality export packing
materials. We can also provide special packing such as
custom crating of valuable items. Our superior export
packing provides added protection to your belongings and
protects your shipment from the rigors of vibration, dust
and humidity.
Protecting your home: Before the crew
begins loading your goods into the shipping container or
vehicle, it is important that we prepare your home to avoid
damage. Some of the precautions we take include laying floor
runners over carpets and entry points, as well as covering
walls, woodwork and banisters where appropriate.
Transport carrier: MERIDIAN WORLDWIDE’S
vehicles and containers are specially modified to
accommodate the safe transportation of household goods.
Special tracking has been installed on walls for the purpose
of securing goods and bulkheads are fitted to prevent
movement of the load if the vehicle / container is not full
to capacity. After everything has been loaded, it’s a good
idea for you and the van foreman to take one last walk
through your house to make sure that nothing has been
overlooked.
