Someone from your family will need to be present at the time of loading, as there is important documentation to sign and you will also need to ensure nothing has been overlooked. The crew foreman will prepare a detailed inventory list and condition report of the items to be moved. It is the responsibly of the foreman to list every item (and carton) that you are moving. The record of these items becomes what is known as the inventory. It is also important to note that each mode of transport, road, sea or air will require a separate inventory.

This is a unique time to accompany the foreman around your home to ensure everything goes to plan and nothing is missed. You will be asked to sign the inventory(s), as your acknowledgment that the items indicated were packed and loaded, and as verification of their condition prior to the move. The driver will then sign the form as well and present you with a copy.
